Nick DeAgostino, Chicago Personal Injury Attorney

Nick DeAgostino grew up in Midland, Michigan. He is a graduate from Michigan State University where he received a B.A. in Political Science Pre-law. Nick moved to Chicago and attended The John Marshall Law School. During law school, Nick received two CALI awards for receiving the highest grade in the school for both his Advanced Torts and Negotiable Instruments courses. Nick was also placed on his school’s mock trial team where he competed against dozens of law schools in two separate national mock trial competitions. His specialization in litigation pushed him to apply for an externship at the Cook County Office of the Public Defender where he clerked in the Domestic Violence division. Here, he assisted indigent accused individuals to receive the proper guidance and counsel that that they were constitutionally entitled to. In his last two years of law school, Nick worked as a law clerk at a reputable, mid-sized firm which focused on insurance defense litigation for various practice areas, including construction negligence, personal injury, premises liability, and automobile negligence.
At The Deratany Firm, Nick plans to focus in the areas of medical malpractice, brain injury, birth injury, personal injury, and environmental law. Nick has assisted Jay Paul Deratany with a wide variety of cases, including multimillion dollar lawsuits focused on physician negligence causing severe brain damage in newborns. Nick DeAgostino is admitted to practice law as a member of the Illinois Bar as well as in federal court in the United States District Court for the Nothern District of Illinois.
